It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I chose my name by using my middle name “Daniel” and adding the ‘le’ to make it “Danielle”
I have always been Jeannie.
My sister started calling me Jeannie when I was little and it has stuck. My give an name is Jean, so it was pretty easy for me.
Not far from my birth name I thought it was suitable for who I am. It also reminds me of somebody elegant and that is what I try to be.
I picked my name by using my middle “Daniel” and adding the ‘le’ to the end to make it Danielle
I have always thought Tara was such a beautiful female name (knew some pretty brunettes with the name)… no it’s not from Gone With the Wind… And since dressing femme is a bit on the wild side… the last name is with a little twist (even consider with a ‘y’ instead of ‘i’)…
Tara is in a lot of songs, most famous for me is The Knack’s “Oh Tara”… with the lyrics… “oh Tara… you squeeze my heart and then you let it go”, “oh tara it’s for real, I can’t help how I feel”… explains how I feel about my femme alter-ego sometimes… the struggle to let her out…
I do have a wild, confident, sexy side… so when she does come out… I can go there too.
(Sometimes) Tara Wilde
I chosed my name Daniela from my co-worker who I admired.. finally told her this year that I took her name.. thought that she would be really mad at me but was flattered and honored that I took her name
Mine is Ellie, which is not far from my birth name, I’m not out publicly but I can still get away with Ellie. And giggle at being called my female name.
I was driving to my therapists office. Fully dressed enfemme, as was normal. Sandra, or Sandy, came to the back of my mind and declared her name.
I have used a variety of fem names in the past, but no other ever since.
