It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I did not choose my name as I let my mum give me my name. When I was born had I of been born a girl then my name would have been Rachel which was the girls name my parents had picked out.
A while ago I was talking with members of this tg/ts group talking about the same thing. Many decided to go with a name close to their name but I was going to live in 2 worlds (male-female) so I choose to go with one that was far different than mine so that I would not respond or react to it. To me Danielle was perfect and it fit me. But before I decided on Danielle I was known as Carol. It just did not feel right.
I chose Melissa (Missy) because the name to me is so feminine and dainty, just the way I feel when I’m all dressed up and the woman inside of me is released.
As a child growing up my roll models’ name was Carol, so it felt natural to name myself after her.
Hi Lucille, I came up with Adrienne after my partner said well, your middle male name is Adrian, so, why not call yourself Adrienne. It works well. xxx
My Birth name is Bert Thomas T—–
and I have always been partial to Lisa so I took that for the first name as far as the Jennette I thought that was kind of “classy” (like me LOL) so that went in as for the last name I decided on Thomas to go with my middle male name. so Lisa Jennette Thomas was born 🙂
My birth name is Jeffrey Scott and I always liked the name Jessica so I took that for my first name. So I looked in a baby name book to find something that I could use the S part of my middle name. I found Stacy for my middle name. What I didn’t realize at that time was both names have same amount of letters in them so in my eyes it was meant to be. And early on if someone used Jessica when in femmi I always responded automatically as if it was my name from birth.
My name is
Ron, so I changed it to Rhonda
