It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
Wow, so many great stories! I am really enjoying reading these. Keep ’em coming, girls. 🙂
Lucille, you’re a true blessing to those of us in the transitioning world. You’re the best at what you do. I’m hoping in near future to purchase your programs. I’d love to meet you in person one day and hug your neck for being there for all of us girls. Love and kisses to you!!!! CRO
Well I was given my girly name at birth Kimsey so I was lucky about that but the weird thing about it is .I was named after a man that my dad said he really looked up to that he really admired.
I lost my wife to cancer and I was left with a mountain of clothes and cosmetics and a cheap wig that she hated. The next few days after her funeral I was sorting her clothes, some to friends, some to donations and some to be torn for rags. When I came across one dress I couldn’t decide on I held it in front of me and looked in the mirror and thought, This will fit me! I tried it on then dumped out the boxes I had already sorted. That was the day I started dressing up. I wear her clothes, make-up and her name!
I got name Constance from movie series in 1980’s by actress Morgan Freeman who played a up and coming politicians wife. I got name Rhiannon from a Fleetwood Mac song. The last name OHara from Gone with the Wind movie from Scarlett O Hara who was of Irish descent and movie based in Ga. I’m 57% Irish, born and raised in Ga about 70 miles NW of Tara, which is now known as Jonesboro, Ga.
Correction, actress name is Morgan Fairchild. Sorry folks!!!
Diana comes from Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter and the Goddess of the hunt. Anderson comes from Jillian Anderson who is a gorgeous red headed woman, who I try to emulate. I wanted no connection to my real name. Ricky isn’t me.
Poonam mean “Full moon”. I chose it because of how the full moon light up the entire night sky.
I used the first 2 letters in my email handle plus it is close to my male name. When my partner have sex, having him saying my name in my ear, turns me on and it makes the moment terrific. It makes for a wonderful orgasm.
My name Sarah was my paternal grandmother’s name. She had always wanted a granddaughter and here I am! I can only hope that somehow she knows.
