A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.
Pleaser Shoes
While Pleaser Shoes prides itself on being the leader in sexy footwear, they offer a range of styles – from sexy to classic and pinup to goth. Most importantly, they offer women’s shoes up to a size 16.
Update: Our lovely reader Jolene has shared that with Pleasers, depending on the style of shoe, a trans woman or crossdresser may need to add THREE sizes to their male shoe size.
FSJ Shoes
FSJ Shoes is a China-based shoe manufacturer that offers a huge array of styles up to a size 15 US. Best of all, they also offer custom made shoes at affordable prices so you can make any shoe dream come true!

Dear Lucille.
I most of The time buy my shoes via internet stores.
My size is size 9, sometimes half a size smaller.
I don’t like to high heels. It makes me to tall.
I am about 1.82 ‘m. So that’s tall enough.
I’m wearing shoes like ever lady wears.
This makes me feel comfortabel.
I’m having about 30 pairs of shoes. I love it.
Sweet greetings, Henriette
I usually shop online, find the best deals. Of course wearing a size 13 in ladies is not easy to find. I do love 5″ heels and they are so easy to walk in and feel comfortable. I am not into low heels, I want my legs to look sexy. The last pair came for Shoebuy.com. Good place to deal with and discount pricing.
I get my shoes from http://www.alternative-footwear.co.uk/
I have been fairly lucky as I wear either an 11 or sometimes a 10 in woman sizes. I have many pairs and heel heights. I like Nine West best as they have a great selection and do almost always include up to and 11. Sometime I will have to figure out how to attach a picture. Have a great day everyone who reads this.
Easy! Since I am somewhat androgyne not only in mind but in body too, my feet are small enough for a standard female size and big enough for a standard male size, so I can just buy what I want, in almost any store. And I do! 🙂
I do not buy shoes online, because I know that even if two different pairs of shoes have the same heel height, style and size, they are going to fit differently. Shoemaking seems to be an art more than it is a science, so differences will always occur.
I’ve tried 2″ heel, round toe, 12 W shoes and one pair fitted, another did not.
I therefore only buy from stores that have the size and style of shoe I like on the shelf, so that I can try them on, walk around in the store and get a feel for the way they fit.
Because of that and where I live, not wanting to drive for 2 or 3 hours to a large city where there is a greater choice, most of my shoe shopping is done at either one of the two outlets that carry shoes up to women’s size 13 W. There is one that has on average twenty or so different shoes to choose from. That’s the one I will pick first.
By the way, 12 and 13 are the US sizes. They are equivalent to 44-45 in Europe, 9½-10½ UK, somewhere between 10½-11 inches or 27.5- 28cm.
For those living in Europe, Amazon has a quite good selection of large sizes. I am mostly shopping at amazon.de, looking for items on sale, and found some lovely, comfy and quality stuff from Tamaris, Gabor and more. I am an EU 43, and up to 44 or perhaps 45 is not unusual. In Europe I have found it is not so common to find a selection of widths, so if you have wide feet it can be a problem. My feet fortunately often fits nicely into the “oversize” women’s shoes.
I also ordered a couple of pairs from Shoesofprey.com. Just Oxford flats though, for use at work. They are cutish but not obviously womens shoes so they are great for the office, and the custom design is so fun. I’d love to design a few heels there but my budget does not allow that at the moment.
