A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.
Pleaser Shoes
While Pleaser Shoes prides itself on being the leader in sexy footwear, they offer a range of styles – from sexy to classic and pinup to goth. Most importantly, they offer women’s shoes up to a size 16.
Update: Our lovely reader Jolene has shared that with Pleasers, depending on the style of shoe, a trans woman or crossdresser may need to add THREE sizes to their male shoe size.
FSJ Shoes
FSJ Shoes is a China-based shoe manufacturer that offers a huge array of styles up to a size 15 US. Best of all, they also offer custom made shoes at affordable prices so you can make any shoe dream come true!
Zappos
Being the largest online shoe shop, it should come as no surprise that Zappos offers a wide range of shoes for women with big feet. Zappos also has a generous one-year return policy that includes free return shipping.
Amazon
Amazon has a surprising large selection of women’s shoes up to size 16, including pumps, flats, sandals, boots, and more. As an added bonus, many items are eligible for Prime delivery and free returns.
Payless
Who doesn’t love a good deal? While Payless only offers women’s shoes up to a size 13, they are a great option for affordable footwear if your feet are on the smaller side.
Ebay
Let’s not forget about good old eBay! Ebay has a huge selection of transgender and crossdressing shoes at some incredible bargains. The best part is that you can search for women’s shoes up to a size 19!

Another great place to find good quality shows in bigger sizes, up to 13W is Torrid. They are also very TG friendly. Prepandemic I used to go in there all the time and they would fill a dressing room for me and on occasion would give me advice on how I looked while trying on clothes
Thanks! A couple girls have mentioned Torrid. I will add them to the list on my next update. 🙂
I don’t know if anyone mentioned this before, but Torrid has a pretty good selection of shoes going to 13W. I’ve gotten several pairs of cute flats, some heels, and boots from there; all are quality and fit well.
Hopefully these comments will be of interest to Australian Gurls. Big W, Target and K-Mart are either reducing or removing their larger sizes. If you can find them, the shoes have probably been designed for narrower feet, so please take that as a warning.
As Lucille states, it’s important to add two sizes to your current male size. In my case I wear a 10, but it equates to a ladies 12. I could get away with an 11 if the shoe was for a wider foot. Quality shoes are actually graded by width – ABC and D. Diana Ferrari stocks wider sizes in some designs only. Check her web site.
When buying over the counter, my best purchases have been from Rivers. They use European sizes and my size 10 equates to a Rivers 43 or 44, the latter being near on impossible to find. Keep in mind that the fit varies depending on who makes the Shoe for Rivers. Their “Riversoft” range seems to be the best and they have some fantastic bargains at their DFO outlets. The boots in the photo had a $60 price tag, but I purchased them for $22.50. I was able to wear them all day on my first use. They’re soooo comfortable.
Other suppliers for larger feet are Shoes of Hollywood (Brisbane) although they had nothing that fitted me. LadyBits in Melbourne has a good range, but I had to go for a size 13 to get the width. Finally, keep your eyes peeled at the Op Shops. I got a brand new pair of Diana Ferrari in the box for $15.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Sorry I should have posted a pic above..
I have a lot of shoes already, and really need to thin the collection. Some I may not ever wear again. Size is not a major problem, and there are places like Nordstrom’s Rack that serve well. I really like the thrill of discovery to be had in actual shop shopping, especially at Goodwill, including their bin stores. Happy hunting, girls!
I wear size 11 womens shoes so I can have an endless selection at DSW.
I have shopped at 6PM.com and bought some cute boots and shoes. They have sizes up to 14US and higher and they also have clothing.
Jessica
Shoe Show Mega carries shoes in women’s sizes up to 14. They also sell under Shoe Dept. and Shoe Dept. Encore all in brick and mortar and online. I went to about a half dozen of my local stores and they only appear to carry up to size 11 in them. I ordered the two pairs shown here online from them in the size 12’s I wear. They were relatively inexpensive and I was able to get them during one of their reoccurring BOGO 1/2 off sales.
