Your walk is a critical aspect of your female image. Learning how to walk in a naturally feminine way can do wonders to enhance your overall appearance.
Unfortunately, it’s easy to go from one extreme (a masculine walk) to the other (over-exaggerated hip swinging).
How can you find a happy medium as you master your feminine movements? I’m glad you asked!
In this article, I share 3 simple tips to help you achieve a natural, womanly walk. Read on to learn more!
1. Try the Hip Matrix
A big difference between men and women is that women tend to have more fluid body movements.
That means you can sway your hips all you want – but until you learn how to “loosen up” your body, your feminine walk will look stiff and unnatural.
The Hip Matrix can help with this. Created by movement specialist Rob Brinded, the Hip Matrix exercise is designed to release tension and free up your body movements so you can achieve a flowing, feminine walk.
Watch the video above and then try it for yourself. If you compare your walk before and after, I promise you’ll be amazed by the difference!
P.S. You can learn more about Rob’s approach to feminine movement in my Stepping Out Secrets Program.
2. Practice in High Heels
Women have a lower center of gravity than men due to their wider hips. This creates that sexy hip sway that’s characteristic of a feminine walk.
Forcing your hips to sway usually looks unnatural. Instead, practice walking in high heels. High heels change your center of gravity and exaggerate the forward curve of your spine. This helps release the hips, which naturally feminizes your movements.
You can enhance this effect by trying to keep your shoulders still as you walk. This forces you to use your hips for balance.
Once you’ve mastered hip walking in heels, practice the same movements in flat shoes.
3. Shorten Your Stride
Shortening your stride is another easy and effective way to feminize your walk.
The average woman’s step length (the distance from the toe of one foot to the toe of the opposite foot) is 26”. So if you want to be scientific about it, get out a ruler and measure your steps! Your natural stride is probably longer, so work on taking shorter steps.
Note: The higher your heels are, the shorter your steps should be.
Conclusion
There are other subtle elements that define a feminine walk, but these tips are a great place to start. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
I’d also love to hear about any other movement tips or techniques you’ve found helpful. Please share in the comments below.

I enjoy walking in heels when i home alone, jusy have small heels and stay with my mom due to my epilepsy so dont have much time but still like it. When i walk outside in my normal shoes i i can feel my hips sway as well as feel them mentally
Keep feet closer together when walking and slow down. A sexy stroll is far better than looking like you are in a hurry to get some place
practice walking@home while in high heels while carrying a purse,
both slung over the shoulder and carrying at your side. I did it and still refresh occasionally; the psychological affect seems to make me move w/ more hip-swivel, and an all-around FEM-FEEL, which in turn makes me walk like a woman.
It even works better for me while playing certain nstrumental music.
ENFEMME, ROX.
I would add that when walking in heels a little turn out of the foot when stepping forward will help clear the heel on the swing through

Lucille, is 26″ correct for a natural female walk? I am 5’10” and my natural walk is 23″ toe-to-toe, 27″ at a fast walk. In heels I am at less than 20″ already. 26″ just seems like a large step. My wife is only 5′ so maybe I’ve gotten use to walking at her shorter pace…
Thank you for the advice hun.
I agree with Vicki, 26″ seems like a large step for a natural female walk. I am also 5’10” and my natural walk is 21″ toe2toe. In heels I drop down to about 17″
Hi Lucille honey goodness girlfriend I’m so out of practice at walking in heels I still worry about walking like a woman I hope I make some friends when I move in my next Apt. I need to know if I’m walking right I used to be able to run in heels of course they weren’t stilettos lol I do need to watch my stride as for tile floors soft wedges are great for that otherwise you sound like a horse lol I practice walking on the balls of my feet I’ve got to get some more heels though and loosening up my hips too Love MJ
I do what I call” walking with my hip”.i don’t try to move them side to side, instead I just lead with them,It seems to produce a natural sway that’s not too much,
Thank you Ms. Lucille, I do practice in heels, kitten heels are not that difficult as 5″ or 6″ heels. Carpet at least the type I have is lousy due to the coarseness. Tile floors give off the sound I am wearing heels. Bad thing: too carpeted & sometimes my “balance” is off. Shorter strides was great, also avoid heels that are too large for your “Tootsies” tough walking. Thanks Lucille & Love you for all you do to help us “Tranny Girls”.
Love. Robin Jennifer
If you want to perfect your feminine walk before venturing out, practice on a treadmill (if you have access). You can even adjust the speed so you can adapt more readily.
