Your walk is a critical aspect of your female image. Learning how to walk in a naturally feminine way can do wonders to enhance your overall appearance.
Unfortunately, it’s easy to go from one extreme (a masculine walk) to the other (over-exaggerated hip swinging).
How can you find a happy medium as you master your feminine movements? I’m glad you asked!
In this article, I share 3 simple tips to help you achieve a natural, womanly walk. Read on to learn more!
1. Try the Hip Matrix
A big difference between men and women is that women tend to have more fluid body movements.
That means you can sway your hips all you want – but until you learn how to “loosen up” your body, your feminine walk will look stiff and unnatural.
The Hip Matrix can help with this. Created by movement specialist Rob Brinded, the Hip Matrix exercise is designed to release tension and free up your body movements so you can achieve a flowing, feminine walk.
Watch the video above and then try it for yourself. If you compare your walk before and after, I promise you’ll be amazed by the difference!
P.S. You can learn more about Rob’s approach to feminine movement in my Stepping Out Secrets Program.
2. Practice in High Heels
Women have a lower center of gravity than men due to their wider hips. This creates that sexy hip sway that’s characteristic of a feminine walk.
Forcing your hips to sway usually looks unnatural. Instead, practice walking in high heels. High heels change your center of gravity and exaggerate the forward curve of your spine. This helps release the hips, which naturally feminizes your movements.
You can enhance this effect by trying to keep your shoulders still as you walk. This forces you to use your hips for balance.
Once you’ve mastered hip walking in heels, practice the same movements in flat shoes.
3. Shorten Your Stride
Shortening your stride is another easy and effective way to feminize your walk.
The average woman’s step length (the distance from the toe of one foot to the toe of the opposite foot) is 26”. So if you want to be scientific about it, get out a ruler and measure your steps! Your natural stride is probably longer, so work on taking shorter steps.
Note: The higher your heels are, the shorter your steps should be.
Conclusion
There are other subtle elements that define a feminine walk, but these tips are a great place to start. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
I’d also love to hear about any other movement tips or techniques you’ve found helpful. Please share in the comments below.

Great video guys thanks really helps alot.I find i can walk femininly with these stretches/practice in flats but not heels yet and having a hard time making it second nature in other words i very tempoaraly forget and found crossing legs to tighten my front hip flexors but never thought of crossing ankles instead this was better for my bad knee and circulation so thank you Janine and will give the sanitary napkin a whirl too
A slight error in one of your tips Lucille…Stride is measured from heel to heel, not toe to toe. Imagine placing one foot down, then taking a more than 2 foot step. The average length of a womans foot(size 8.5 shoe) is 9.5 inches. By your method the amount of space between the toe of the back shoe, and the heel of the front shoe would be approximately 16.9 inches. almost a foot, and a half. Doing it heel to heel the actual amount of space between the toe of the back shoe, and the heel of the front shoe would be 7.4 inches. Add 18 inches for a size 8.5 womans foot, and that equals a 26.4 inch stride. Hope that this is helpful…
From watching cis women, I learned that the feminine walk involves moving both feet quite close to and pointing in the direction along the same imaginary line describing the course you are walking along. Sort of toe to heel.
The advice in the article is spot on regarding taking a shorter stride as well. If you must walk faster take more short steps in the same amount of time.
Some guys who are otherwise very masculine tend to do this naturally for whatever reason and it even makes their walk appear feminine.
Will practice the walking but how high should the heels be as i have different size high heel shoes. I need to try the smaller steps method much more.
Find a Female role model, watch her, and practice, practice, practice.
Wearing even moderately high heels with a calf length pencil skirt works for me.
I agree, Bill. Wearing a tight skirt to help me feel more feminine also helps me move and walk more feminine.
I love being me
Probably learning how to walk as a female for me was one of the hardest things I had to learn.
But the more I practiced the more I started to walk as a girl.
I started out wearing flat soles and gradually moved up to 3 inch heels.
By the time I started wearing heels I was walking with a gant that a genetic girl has
My hips were moving and my shoulders were stright as I walked around.
But the best thing I found out to make me take smaller steps was if I wore a sanitary napkin in my panties.
It is a constant reminder to take smaller steps and to sit with my legs closed and my ankles crossed whenever I sit down
The Sanitary napkin thing really work? I will try that as well. Thanks dear 🙂
TY Janine, sounds like good advice, and I will practice , Toni
Toni
I’d love to hear if you used a sanitary napkin in your panties and if it made you walk in a feminine way
I hope that you tried it and you found out how much it helps to make you walk as a genetic woman dose
