About Jecca Blac
Jecca Blac began with safe space makeup lessons for makeup wearers at the very start of their journey with self expression – presenting clients an opportunity to experiment with makeup for the first time in a relaxed, private, judgment free setting.
Many of the clients to attend these makeup lessons were from the trans and cross dressing community, and came to Jecca Blac’s Founder with requests for concealing beard shadow and developing a contour regime.
Our Founder has also provided voluntary makeup lessons to trans prisoners, we have a trans inclusive team, and we regularly fundraise for LGBTQ+ charities – most recently Not A Phase, which strives to improve the lives of trans people across the UK.
In February of 2020 we launched Trans Festival – an event designed to unite the trans community and allies, and after a 2-year hiatus due to lockdown restrictions, we’re delighted to announce the return of Trans Festival on the 13th August this year!
Trans Festival 2022 – The UK’s First Ever Day Event Uniting the Trans+ Community and Allies
Date: Saturday 13th August 2022, 11am-5pm
Location: 110 Pennington St, London, E1W 2BB
Trans festival presents an opportunity for the trans community and allies to come together in an empowering, safe-space setting. Shop, meet, enjoy food and drink, have a makeover, or bask in the words and wisdom of our incredible lineup of guest speakers.
This year’s speakers include best-selling author Juno Dawson, writer of The Transgender Issue Shon Faye, award-winning journalist Freddy McConnell as seen in Seahorse, and Founder of trans Charity Not A Phase, Dani St James.

Trans Pride London
On Saturday the 9th of July we saw over 20,000 members of the trans community and allies reclaim the streets of central London, marching for change for trans and gender nonconforming people in the UK. This is the third Trans Pride march seen in London since the first in 2020.
An event which is centered on activism and fighting for brighter futures for all trans people in the UK, this march is gaining momentum each year and strives to uplift the community while fighting back against transphobia found in the UK today.

Trans Pride Brighton
Brighton’s Trans Pride returned on Saturday the 16th July! This is the first march since lockdowns have been lifted, and presented an opportunity to unify the trans community and allies in the LGBTQ+ capital of the UK: Brighton!

Tranuary, Liverpool
Tranuary is an annual event in January in Liverpool, UK. Bringing gender euphoria, community and entertainment together with a ticketed event each January, Tranuary seeks to bring light to the UK’s dark winters.
Though we have another 6 months before January 2023 which will bring the next Tranuary event, this is definitely one for the UK’s community to put in their calendars – it is essential that we find ways to celebrate and uplift each other (and ourselves) beyond Pride season!Follow @Tranuary on Instagram for more!
For The Gworls
For The Gworls is an incredible initiative of parties thrown in New York, USA. Profits made from each event go to funding housing, healthcare and support for black trans people in the USA.
Combining fundraising with partying, For The Gworls is a breakthrough for New York nightlife, presenting a safe space where the LGBTQ+ community can celebrate, unite, and serve looks while supporting some of the most marginalized members of the trans+ community.
