If you’re like many of my transgender or crossdressing readers, you might not be able to present yourself as a woman each day.
That doesn’t mean you have to lose your female side when it’s time to put on the pants!
In this post, I share 5 ways to stay in touch with your femininity – even in male mode.
1. Wear Women’s Underwear
Let’s start with the most obvious tip, shall we? Wearing women’s underwear underneath your male clothing is the easiest way to connect with your feminine self on a daily basis.
Aside from that, women’s panties tend to be more comfortable than men’s boxers or briefs. Plus, they come in loads of cute and sexy styles to add some secret pizazz to your outfit.
2. Try Stealth Crossdressing
Wearing lingerie under your clothes is a classic, but why stop there? Sneaking a piece of women’s clothing into your daily outfit is a great way to feel girly.
A lot of women’s clothing can pass for unisex, so try wearing women’s:
- Basic tees
- Button-down shirts
- Jeans and pants
Don’t forget about accessories! You could also play with wearing women’s boots or using a tote bag as a laptop bag or briefcase.
3. Apply Incognito Makeup
There are lots of ways to incorporate makeup into your daily look, even when presenting as a male. Here are 4 must-have makeup items:
- Concealer or foundation – Apply a thin layer to cover under eye circles or blemishes.
- Setting powder – Apply to shiny spots on your face, like the nose or forehead.
- Clear mascara – Use it to make your eyelashes look subtly longer and fuller.
- Uncolored lipstick – Instead of boring Chapstick, care for your lips with a clear lipstick.
4. Use the Power of Scent
Scents have a powerful effect on your brain chemistry and mood, so this is a great way to connect with your feminine side.
Wear women’s perfume instead of cologne. Musky fragrances are the most unisex, so you can wear them without anybody knowing your secret. (Check out my article on perfume to learn more about choosing the right scent.)
Another option is to burn a scented candle with a feminine fragrance in your home or office.
5. Keep Reminders of Your Female Self
Another tip is to surround yourself with reminders of the woman within.
One way to do this is through photos. Keep photos of your femme self on your phone, in your wallet, or even framed and hung up so you can see them often.
You could also carry around items personalized with your feminine name, such as a necklace, keychain, or coffee mug.
6. Try Feminizing Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a powerful way to increase confidence, reprogram habits and behaviors, and improve the way you express yourself as a woman.
Best of all, it’s the ultimate mental escape – allowing you to connect with you female self regardless of your current situation.
Try it for yourself by signing up for my free Unleash Your Inner Woman hypnosis mini-session here.
How do YOU stay connected?
In an ideal world, you’d be free to present yourself as a woman whenever and wherever you wanted. Until then, I hope this gives you ideas for expressing your female side anytime you want!

Lucille,
Thank you for sending your Femme Secrets – I really enjoy reading them and putting them into practice whenever and wherever possible. I LOVE transitioning from Justin to Bianca to make me feel as “girlie” as possible in the most feminine way possible.
This “Crossdressing in Secret: How to Feel Female 24 Hours Per Day” is a perfect example of what I LOVE to do everyday. I would like to expand upon your “5 ways to stay in touch with your femininity – even in male mode.”
First, I totally agree that wearing a pair of intimate, sexy, and totally comfy pair of woman’s panties is a must! They feel so very, VERY good caressing and holding my private parts in a very delicate and sensual way and they make me feel VERY girly!
Secondly, always wearing a bra under my shirt is a must. The constant feel and light snugness of a soft pull-over bralette is very arousing and very girly! Here I can Crossdress in Secret or let the Secret out a little by choosing a bra color that shows through just a little to tease someone that is looking closely.
Thirdly, wearing Thigh Highs under my pants is an ABSOLUTE must! The sliding feel of my hose covered legs on the inside of my pants is very pleasurable and the light gripping feel of the material and the lace top bands on my legs is very erotic!
Love, Bianca
I am transgender and take female hormones but still have to appear as male for the sake of my wife whose parents are quit transphobic and racist.
So, even is “male mode” I have my mani/pedi fall back on and wear women’s pants and shirts with a bra (a sports compression bra since my breasts have grown so large due to estrogen) and panties. Most people don’t realize that women’s clothes button in the opposite direction of men’s clothes 🙂
I always wear MAC’s Teddy lipstick which is a nice matte which doesn’t rub off and accentuates my natural lip color.
I’m so sorry you are dealing with racist, transphobic in-laws. Glad you’ve found some solutions for when you are around them. ❤️
I always wear lingerie , pullover sweaters that are neutral in color, and pierced stud diamond earrings, and jeans and shoes.
I keep my toenails polished. Bright red, soft pink or clear with a french tip.
this sissy, like Rhonda, above, has been crossdressing all life long. Only the last ten years have been dressing en femme 24\7. Like Rhonda, breast implants have been considered, but currently, too expensive. That said, research has found no negative pathology to breast implants as relates to age. Of course, at 74, this sissy does not heal at all quickly, and Rhonda may be experiencing the same issue. Breast forms are a good substitute, but nothing like feeling ones own nipple, rubbed and squeezed.
I always wear women’s underwear. And I Shave my legs. This really helps me feel my women inside. When I get away with it, I wear a bra.
These are all awesome incognito secrets!! thank you so much!
Glad you found this helpful!
I’ve enjoyed living and dressing completely as a woman for many years now.
Although I was born a biological male, I had a wonderful aunt who introduced me to the wonders and variety of woman’s clothes in my early teens.
Since then I thoroughly love and enjoy everything about my changes in life style.
I am now feeling the urge for something new in my life. All along I have wearing silicone breast enhancements and am now considering breast augmentation surgery. My only concern is, is it a good idea at my current age of nearing seventy?
I normally wear a ‘B’ cup size bra with the inserts. I would like to have at least ‘C’ size breast, or even ‘D’ size.
