Stepping out publicly as a woman is a powerful way to validate your female self.
In fact, I recently published a poll asking “How often do you go out in public as a woman?”
I was happy to see that the majority of my readers (transgender women and crossdressers) go out at least occasionally.
No matter how often you do it, I’m sure you can remember your first time presenting as a woman or crossdressing in public.
Since this is such an important gender-affirming step, I’d love to hear about it!
When was it? Where did you go? And what was your experience?
Please share with us in the comments below!
And if you’ve never been en femme in public, I’m sure you’ll find lots of inspiration in these stories.
As always, thank you for reading and participating!
Love,
Lucille

I made a late night run to fast food restaurant, wearing a cheap wig, sport/sun dress, 2.75 in heels, hose, panties, bra (stuffed) full makeup and purse. the lady working drive thru didn’t make me until I was driving off.
Makeup, cloths, hair, jewelry, shaving the legs, arms, chest it sure takes a lot to be a woman. My big moment arrived in December 2013 when my wife was out of town for a week. I took advantage and went out to a local mall, and enjoyed the opportunity by shopping. Walked the entire mall tried on some shoes, more than likely I was made as a man but no one said or did anything. After shopping I went to a restaurant which was not busy and enjoyed supper. Since then I have gone out several times, even had a make over. Every time has been very enjoyable.
I ‘am now considering going on a week long vacation to Ashville, NC to a place which helps trans genders and cross dressers refine their look and become a better woman in presenting and handling ourselves in public. When I look at the past 10 months and want I have done I am just amazed. By the way I am in my late 50’s so I guess it is never too late.

I went out as little bo peep
The first time I went out was for Halloween , I was little Bo peep, it was so fun and I got tons of compliments on how pretty I was
I went out a lot just in my car at first but I had a mustache and was limited to very remote public places and at night. The first time I went out in public without a mustache I went to a bar that’s gender friendly. I remember iot like it was yesterday still.
You had to park across the street they shared a parking lot with a Wal-Mart I felt like every one was staring at me I stepped out than got scared got back in my car sat there worked up the nerve stepped out and started walking to the corner I walked under a tree and my wig all most got pulled off there were a dozen people at the corner I was so nervous and excited at the same time walked across the street than you half to walk another block to the door past a busy bus stop It felt like everyone was staring. Once inside every one was so nice and friendly I got compliments on my out fit and tips from other girls made some new friends wow what a night since than I go just about every where dressed.
Hi All I’m Chrissy,
The 1st time I was ever out in public was at an adult place in Farmingdale, NY (Long Island NY) named Show World.
It was very scary as I went there partially dressed and dressed the rest of the way in my SUV. Once inside I paid $13.00 which enabled me to go into all different video rooms. One thing was overwhelming was how much attention I was given from the men and dancers as they thought I was beautiful and all were touching me and lusting for me.
It was a great experience and go back there from time to time just for the attention.

The first time I went out in public was in June 2014.
I went with a girlfriend we drove around in my car for a while, then we stopped at 7 Eleven and I went insidea bought a drink and some smoke. We drove around again for a while then we stopped and went into
McDonald’s.
It was lots of fun and I have since been out a couple more times, most recently I went with my friend up to the local shopping centre in the early afternoon we went in did what we had to do and left, it felt so liberating.
First time I went out as a girl was in Chester-Le Street in Co Durham in UK. I had gone out many times late at night walking the deserted streets but this was my first day time outing. I was 22 at the time and had long permed hair so a wig was not necessary and I was very slim too. I wore my wife Diane’s clothes mainly. Diane was my 1st wife and was very supportive of my way of life, we swapped clothes too. I wore a black suspender belt, black stockings black/pink matching bra and pantiesafull lenght (but very short) black silk slip, one of Diane’s many suade mini skirts my own tan coloured ankle strap stilettos. My dress sense was mainly guided by Diane’s taste and she prefered the cheap tarty sluty look!. I wore a ot of heavy eye make up, blue eye shadow, heavy black eye liner and lots of mascara on the lashes vivid red lipstick too, I wore some of Diane’s dangly cheap looking ear rings and bracletts and rings, I wore a high necked blouse too. My first visit was too the bank thinkingI could walk in joine the que and just hand over a deposit book and a few pounds and not have to speak (I have a very deep gruff voice) Standing in the que I realised I looked more like a cheap street walker than a normal everyday female. At the counter the girl asked me if this was my own acount I nodded and she repeated the question making me speak, I was horrified when the place went silent as this dubious looking slut spoke with such a deep gruff voice. I quickly left after getting my paying in book back and continued walking up and down the high street looking in windows and watching people stare at me vie thier reflections in the window. All in all a very embarrising experiance. I did repeat the excerse a weel later but chose my own dress style and that was much better.
