When it comes to expressing your gender identity, navigating labels can be tricky. For those identifying as transgender or non-binary, finding the right words is essential.
Obviously, it’s important for people to use language that respects and reflects your identity. Outdated or offensive terms can be hurtful.
However, it’s important to remember that you’re more than just a label!
Ultimately, what matters most is how you personally want to be addressed, regardless of where you fall on the gender spectrum.
So, let’s talk about it!
Do you have a particular term or label that resonates with you – such as crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary person, or something else?
I’m eager to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
Hi, I hate labels but till I have my SRS I will consider myself a Transwoman. Then Female after. Huggs Lynda
I label myself as crazey CD crossdresser
Labels are not good and many mean the same thing. I consider myself a transgender woman. I would have had surgery long ago but for financial constraints. I am a woman at heart and soul. I have gotten rid of testicles with chemicals the oter thing is a birth defect. All babies start out as female and a hormone burst at about 8 weeks changr some to male. If the burst is not strong enough the bodies get changed but the billions of cells that make up the brain does not and stays female. T-women really are a birth defect. But we are women. Lucille I have the hypno courses for womanhood, they are great. I feel more deeply female everytime I listen to them. Thanx
All my life I have to remain as a male because of the bad labeling in Malaysia. I would rather been called a Cross-dresser and maybe a transgender women for those been pre-op.
i am a transwoman in the begining of her transition (the label that i was giving from the people around me is of a woman plain an simple) on international woman day i was treated like any other woman there ps: thank you lucille for your message it gives me ideas on way to dress.
i am not trans anything. labels are for soup cans, not prople. i was born with male genitalia but have been female my entire life, (i’m 56).
I’m still sorting out what I want to be. I’m used to being seen as male – works well with women because of the female aspects of me! But I love being seen as, and the feeling of being, female/feminine. I want to be seen, to stir gender assumptions, so I’m coming to think ‘Tranny’ will work well for me. I get to be sexy, I get to present as a non-standard gender, initially feminine but having some aspects of a masculine energy. Doubling up is fun! Rita
Transsexual or transwoman is preferred and frankly, the only “right” answer if you go beyond “woman”
Transgender is less precise but not objectionable.
I refuse to bite my tongue if I’m referred to as a crossdresser or transvestite and speak up whenever possible to correct that.
No, I’ve not had the physical alterations yet, but I do not “dress” for pleasure, I present as female for the sake of my sanity.
