Did you know you only have 7 seconds to make a first impression?
If you want to start crossdressing or presenting yourself as a woman, making a strong first impression is key!
In this blog post, I’ll share 7 easy ways to ensure you leave a feminine first impression that lasts. Let’s dive in!
1. Know What You Want to Project
Start by figuring out what image you want to project:
- Do you aim to blend in as an everyday girl?
- Or do you prefer to stand out as a gender-bending fashion diva?
- Do you want to be recognized for your style and sophistication?
- Or do you simply want people to notice your great legs? 🙂
Knowing your desired image helps you align your appearance and attitude with your goals.
2. Be Aware of Your Body Language
Body language is critical to first impressions. You never want to look nervous, shy, or on the opposite end of the spectrum, arrogant.
Instead, project the image of a classy, confident lady deserving of respect.Â

3. Wear The Right Color
Did you know that 50% of all non-verbal messages come from color? It’s true!
The colors you wear have a strong impact on how people perceive you, especially when presenting as a woman.
In this blog post, I share the meanings of different colors so you can choose shades that flatter you and boost your confidence.
4. Check your Grooming Habits
Physical attractiveness often boils down to self-care – grooming, neat hair, and stylish clothes.
Luckily, your presentation is within your control! Don’t underestimate the power of good grooming – it can make or break a first impression.Â
Here are 5 feminine grooming habits to incorporate into your routine.
5. Mind your Shapewear
The shape of your body powerfully broadcasts your gender expression in an instant. To appear as feminine as possible, consider investing in quality shapewear, such as:
- High-quality breast forms
- A waist cincher or corset
- Hip and butt padding
Shapewear helps create the right body proportions and feminine curves.
6. Dress for the Occasion
Have you ever found yourself overdressed or underdressed for a particular occasion? Not only do you feel awkward, but you stick out like a sore thumb!
Ensure a positive first impression by dressing appropriately for the occasion and adhering to local style norms.
7. Accessorize for Impact
Accessories can make or break an outfit and your first impression.
A high-quality handbag or beautiful shoes can elevate your look, while scuffed shoes or mismatched accessories can do the opposite.
Add the right touches, such as beautiful jewelry or a flattering pair of sunglasses, to enhance your feminine appearance.
What impression do YOU want to make?
There’s a lot to be said about this topic, but I’ve highlighted the most important areas you should consider.
Now I’d like to hear from you!

Lucille, you asked for suggestions for posts and I think I have one. Fall is here, the weather has definitely gotten colder and you certainly have to bundle up if you go out. Those gorgeous sundresses will have to go back into the closet for now (but hopefully that is all), and showing skin even for genetic girls would seem out of place. With that in mind, what are your top fall fashion tips? How can you put the darker, more dramatic brown, gray and red hues of autumn to good effect? It might be easy on a genetic woman but seem drab on a transgender.
Lucille, I like the suggestion of setting an intention especially–not necessarily how it relates to whether one wants to be a queen or girl next door, but how it might make a girl aware of a feeling or a physical feature that she might want to show off, so she can figure out how to express that desire/intention in the most subtle of ways. I think that is how you can get in touch with yourself and people will pick up on this confidence and treat you likewise. Am I right?
Hi there Lucille,
I love your site and you jave many insirations for me.
What I need is to know what supplements to take to enhance my breasts. I am 5’7″ 145 lbs. I have a slim and feminine curvy body, thin waist and nice hips and normal male enhanced breasts, but want more petrution and valumbsuous tits. I have been drinking soy and taking saw palmetto and manual massage. I need to be at least a 38D. I am a gay TV and have a few boyfriends who love my look and love lovemaking with me, but want me to have bigger tits.
What do you suggest.
Love you

Hi Michael/Michelle, are the soy and saw palmetto working? What dosages are you taking? I hope that Lucille updates her section on herbal treatments and that others contribute as well.
hi all, I have learned so much just reading, thank you.
thank you all, I am learning so much just by reading.
I am fortunate to have a very accepting wife. At times if I slipped up she has been my worst critic. I can honestly say that over the last few years the critism hardy ever occurs. It is my intention to pass as a everyday woman doing every day things. The one thing to do in making a good first impresson is be sure your beard shadow is not obvious. I am lucky in that I have solved that problem with electrology.
