Many crossdressers and transgender women tell me that it was easier for them to look feminine when they were younger.
The truth is, you can look beautiful and feminine at any age!
While nobody can stop the clock, there are some simple ways to shave a few years off your appearance – if that happens to be a goal of yours.
Read on for 7 simple ways to look younger now.
1. Choose the Right Hairstyle
Hair has a huge impact on your appearance. Long hair is undoubtedly feminine, but be careful – hair that’s too long can emphasize drooping.
Consider these styles for a fresh, youthful look:
- Shoulder length hair – This length is universally flattering.
- Bangs – Bangs are cute, youthful, and perfect for hiding forehead wrinkles.
2. Add Some Sex Appeal
While you shouldn’t dress like a 20 year old, you definitely want to avoid looking like a buttoned-up old lady.
Here are some ways to add a bit of youthful sex appeal to your look:
- Wear high heels and flirtatious stockings.
- Choose clothes in sensuous fabrics – like lace, velvet, and fur.
- Show some skin (just not too much!).

3. Get Enough Sleep
We all need our beauty sleep, but the older you get, the more a lack of sleep shows up on your face.
Under-eye bags, dark circles, and sallow skin distract from a feminine look, so be sure to make sleep a priority.
4. Add Some Color to Your Wardrobe
If you usually wear a lot of black or neutral tones, try adding some bright colors to your wardrobe. Bright colors have a youthful vibe and liven up your appearance.
5. Whiten Your Teeth
Teeth are a subtle cue of age – old teeth tend to look yellow or grey.
Whitening your teeth brightens your face and takes years off of your appearance. Try Crest White Strips for cheap and easy tooth whitening.
6. Use the Right Skin Care Products
Most skin creams don’t deliver on their “miracle in a bottle” promises. However, there are certain ingredients that have proven anti-aging benefits.
Fight wrinkles and firm your face by using products that contain one or more of the following ingredients:
- Vitamin C
- Hyaluronic acid
- Alpha hydroxy acid
- Green tea
You can find affordable products with these ingredients in any drug store.
Yes, it’s trite advice, but smiling really is the fastest way to improve your appearance!
A smile lifts the cheeks and acts like an instant facelift. Smiling also gives you a pleasant look and puts people at ease – making it easier to blend in as a woman.

I always had a thing for Sophia Loren… for her beauty, style and elegance. My second choice would be Demi Moore.
Thank you Lucille for your tips and advices.
Thanks for your tips they are very helpful. I like Sarah Palin she is most beautiful and would love to dress like her
Thank you for all the information. My breasts are growing good and feel very proud of them . They are not there yet but do know it takes time. I would love to buy more of your products but at this stage I do need the money for all the medical bills, but do know the time will also come .
Thanks again for the information
Sorry, but I had to take the ‘other’ option and go for Valerie Bertinelli. She’s 50+ and still could be playing the teen she was on One Day At A Time, back in the 70s!
Yes! She is adorable!
I love bright blues, greens (lime) and pinks. Not to bad at 52 considering before transition I was almost 400lbs and now 2.5 years late at 145. Being my beautiful self has saved my life.
Luv and snickers,
Congratulations on losing the weight you look great! But your adorable kitty steals the show.
That blue looks great on you!
Thank you so much for your excellent advice, but it was difficult to choose from the list of wonderful women as all appear ageless to me! Time for some beautifying sleep! Best Wishes Honey
Lu Woman walk from the hips. Men walk from the knees. Men take long steps and swagger, woman take shorter less aggressive steps and sway. They have to when wearing high heels and tight skirts. So too will men, lest we break our shoe heels and / or split open the vent in our skirts. Not good!
As previously mentioned in “comments”, we want to keep our backs straight but allow our shoulders droop. And for the love of God, let’s not use shoulder fillers in our blouse or jackets. Although they’re very feminine, with our shoulders already wide we need to soften our upper image rather than enhance it thus making us look like funnels ( from the back view) rather than the hour-glass figure we so desperately crave..
For those of us who are heading into the 3rd turn of life and are over 40, the front view in the mirror usual looks “OK to Fine”, But the side profile is the most important view. His, or Her belt buckle must be nothing less than vertical! Meaning, NO GUT.
Pay attention to that detail and the rest of the body will follow helping you to look more feminine, longer, and further into life, when your dressing really comes to fruition and we’re least concerned about what narrow minds think. That’s when life really began for me..
Lucille, There’s such a need to teach and that’s what was intended with these comments. I sincerely hope fences weren’t violated or I over stepped my bounds.
Not at all – those are great tips! Thanks for sharing. I especially like your tip about checking out the side profile.
While all of the women listed are beautiful, I had to vote other since Michelle Pfieffer was not listed.
